Edward Hopper - New York Movie

I notice that this painting is mostly warm tones. There are two primary area's of cool tones. The movie screen and the womans dress. These make the movie screen and the woman as the primary focus of the painting. You realize she is hiding around the corner so she can't see the screen, whether it is because what is on the screen is disturbing or whatever. But that makes these two things obvious and the focus of the painting.
