(Title not found)My chosen artist is contemporary painter Diarmuid Kelley. Not a self-portrait of the artist, but there's an Uglow-esque planar quality that form the solid, voluminous shapes that I enjoy and would like to try. IMO, his space is convincing because of the variety of hard and soft (in this case, VERY soft, even blurred) edges.
PS - AND there's that whole neutral palette that I seem to gravitate toward, whether I intend to or not...O_o
