Lucian Freud, Lying by the Rags, 1989-90
The only other time that I saw this painting was when I was in my Drawing 4 class today. The teacher was showing this for one of the example for a project that I'm doing. This image is so dynamic and it has a lot of shapes. Also, it really does show a lot of value, color, and temperature. This might be a very good reference for doing the self-portraits for the remaining half of the semester.
